PACKING
TIPS
SERVICES
- Nicholas Moving and
Storage offers complete packing, unpacking, and crating services. Our
professional crews are capable of handling any packing scenarios and have
been extensively trained in the handling of arts and antiques.
PACKING
MATERIALS
- If you choose to do your own packing,
Nicholas Moving and Storage can provide you with boxes
and materials. You can pick up these materials at our warehouse or, if you
prefer, we offer a free packing supply delivery service on Wednesdays.
While we do not require
that you use Nicholas
Moving and Storage boxes, we strongly recommend that you adhere to the
following suggestions:
TAPE
- Tape the top and bottom of the carton with at least two strips. You
may also choose to tape the seams for additional strength. We recommend
using professional packing tape to ensure stability. Do not use making
tape.
MATERIALS
-
Use plenty of paper and/or
bubble-wrap to cover fragile items. It is preferable to use unmarked
newsprint, as the ink from newspaper may blemish your belongings.
LABELING
- Clearly label all cartons on the top and on two adjacent sides with
your name, the room that the box is going into and a brief summary of
contents. You should pack similar items together. Label all boxes
containing fragile items clearly FRAGILE.
PACKING
- When using non-Nicholas
Moving and Storage boxes, make sure that they are strong and can
withstand stacking. Cross out old markings on the boxes.

. . .
Dear Mr. Toubakaris,
Just a quick note to thank you and your moving company. The three man,
Dan, Ron and Chad, were very friendly, professional and worked very hard
and all of our furniture was put where we wanted it and they were careful
with it.
Thanks again to you and to the three men too.
Jim & Pat Hough

Dear Nicholas,
Again, I want too
express my appreciation and respect for the fine quality of employee
behavior and work skills demonstrated by your Butler employees. Courtesy
and capable skills were also shown by Bill and his assistant in Fort
Myers.
Thank you for your
kind assistance in this matter.
Sincerely,
Dr. Mory Hertwick

Dear Mr.
Toubakaris,
On behalf of my
family, I want to thank you and your company for the exceptional service
provided in our move from Tennessee to Pennsylvania. Every step of the
experience was the best of professionalism even under exceptional
circumstances.
The three days to pack in Tennessee were among the worst of the summer.
Each day reached a high temperature in the mid nineties with humidity to
match. Some of the furniture got so hot while loading that it was
difficult to handle the sun. Our arrival in Pennsylvania was met with
lower temperatures but equal humidity. It was amazing how well your people
worked under these conditions.
We were impressed with the care your team gave to our belongings.
Everything was handled with great care and appreciation for our
possessions. When we finished unpacking over 30,000 pounds, we had very
minor breakage and those bumps were taken care of without question or
issue.
You personally visited us twice during the unpacking stage to assure that
everything was going well. We appreciated your personal attention to our
move throughout every step but especially at the end. To have the owner of
the company show such attention to detail meant a great deal to us.
We are eager references for your company. You can be assured we have and
will speak highly of the services you provided us.
As your own slogan was so aptly proven, "service is remembered long after
price is forgotten."
Best Wishes,
Robert M. Smith
